Savory, Saucy, Delicious: A Pop-Up Dinner with Chef Justin Ferguson
Welcome back LCI graduate Chef Justin Ferguson to Baton Rouge. Born and raised in Denham Springs, he is a 2010 Louisiana Cookin' Chef to Watch, former Executive Chef of Stroube's, Superior Seafood, Roosevelt Hotel, and four restaurants with Ideology Entertainment in Chicago. His next culinary concept is BRQ Restaurant and is scheduled to open in Baton Rouge spring 2017.
We would like to invite you to a delicious and fun pop-up dinner hosted at the Louisiana Culinary Institute. Proceeds will help benefit the not-for-profit LCI Foundation assisting with flood relief, feeding soup kitchens, while creating need based scholarships.
We start with serving craft beer and cocktails with passed appetizers including duck brochettes and deviled eggs with citrus poached shrimp chow chow.
Dinner begins at 7pm. Chef Justin Ferguson's menu will include family style chips, pickles, bacon and cheddar hush puppies, fried green tomatoes, goat cheese drop biscuits, 14-hour competition smoked St. Louis baby back ribs, sliced brisket, pulled chicken and pork, potato salad, poblano cheddar cornbread, pit beans, mac and cheese, coleslaw, and for dessert decadent chocolate and carrot cake.
